Book of The Year 2026

Congratulations on being invited to enter the Open Book Awards Book Of The Year!

You are welcome to enter as many books as you like, in as many categories as you like, one entry form per book, per category.

If you are looking for our all year round regular awards please click here.

The Open Book Awards runs its usual awards all year round, then periodically runs the Book of the Year award. Entry to this is at a reduced rate for books that have been entered into our normal awards during the year. The Open Book Awards was set up by a group of independent authors to offer other authors access to these kinds of awards for a lot less than charged by others. That's why we keep our entry fees as low as we can.

We select one winner per category. The closing date is midnight on 30 November 2026. Winning authors will be notified within 28 days of the closing date.

If you win, you will have exclusive access to the Book Of The Year winners page, and a certificate with your name and book. You will also have access to the 'Book Of The Year' Badge which you are free to use as much as you like, anywhere you like to help promote your book.
